An unforgettable evening, the roaring fire and the spectacular dance of the Northern Lights awaits you in the Aurora Camp, near a picturesque lake.
The Aurora Expedition is made in comfort by bus. On the way, we stop to take photos at the rugged Lake Inari, which was believed to be the home of Ukko the Overgod by the ancient Laplanders. From there, we continue to the Aurora Camp on near the lake.
In the camp, we warm up in a cozy hut by the fire, enjoy a warming drink and prepare a traditional Lapland midnight snack while waiting for the Northern Lights to appear on the horizon.

A professional will take you on a 20- to 30-minute ride (approximately 4km) through the silent forest, an experience that is almost mandatory during a trip to Lapland. The eager dogs run at speed, pulling a wagon where there sit up to 4 people. After the ride, it's time for relaxing in the Kota, while enjoying warm berry juice and listen to the most exciting stories the musher has to tell.
Note: Wagon ride is dependent on the weather. On warmer days (more than approximately 7˚C), the huskies are unable to run. On such occasions, this activity is a husky farm visit only.

Take a seat on the bus and enjoy the nocturnal landscape of Lapland. We drive through the silent village of Ivalo, on the winding road toward the tiny village Nellim, situated near the slumbering border of our enormous neighbour Russia.
We continue for a kilometre to the Paatsjoki River bridge. We will make a fire under the open sky and wait for the Northern Lights to flare up. And when they do, the sight is incomparable: the river flowing freely and rapidly towards Russia, reflecting the silhouette of the forest and the red and green flames of the Northern Lights covering the skies. Fun hike with furry companions. Energetic and friendly Siberian huskies pull you along a scenic trail into the wilderness. On this hike, you will learn a lot about arctic wildlife and plants.
